    Best Method of Revision?

  • Specification, Knowledge organisers, Revision Guides and workbooks, BBC Bitesize & Seneca: Use these resources to complete online revision/tests and to make revision notes, mind maps or flashcards.

  • Subject glossary: Use the glossary to learn key terms and test yourself with your friends. Create exam questions where you have to explain the key term or give an example.

  • Past paper questions: Complete past paper questions. Then mark them using the mark scheme. You will learn subject knowledge as well as how the examiners use the levels.

  • RAG: After every topic, rate it either red, amber or green based on your classwork, tests and Seneca homework's. The topics that are red and amber are the ones you need to go over first.

    How Can Parents Help?

Ask your child for the glossary of key terms and test them every so often.

Check your child is completing their Seneca homework.

Look through revision guides/workbooks and test students on prior knowledge (things they may have studied last year) to refresh their memories.

Watch the news and discuss it with your child. Topics such as interest rates, tax, exchange rates, etc. will be examined so a real life understanding of these topics will really help.

If you are still struggling, then you must come and get additional help from your teacher.
